Summer Adventure 2005 |
|
The Summer Adventure 2005-boat trip was held on 10 September 05. It was a sunny day, breezy with a comfortable temperature. A total of 24 alumni members and friends gathered at Sai Kung Pier and at around 9:30 we started our cruising tour.
We then sailed to a sandy beach, divided into 2 groups, 1 group enjoy swimming, sun-bath, building sand sculptures and catching fishes on the beach. The others go for wakeboard riding.
At around 1:30 pm, we had a delicious seafood lunch at Sha Kiu Village.
In the afternoon, beside swimming and wakeboard ride, some of us experienced the exciting banana boat journey. In fact it was not so speedy at all, but for the children and ladies it was thrilling.
As most of us were first time wakeboard rider, we found that it needed special technique to play perfect. Although we did fell all the times, it was really fun!

Golf Day 2005 |
|
On 29 April 2005, the IGDS Alumni Golf Day was held in Citic Green Golf Club in Shenzhen. There were 37 participants enjoying the sunshine in Spring. All IGDS participants and their friends had great pleasure from this extraordinary golfing experience.
This golf outing was designed for both golf beginners and golf pros. After the beginner had learnt the perfect swing in the morning session, they got the chance to practise their swings in real 3-hole course in the afternoon session. The golfer pros had an exciting match for four prizes, longest-drive prizes and two closer-to-the-pin prizes. The climate was just wonderful for a game!
The match started sharply at 11:30am from the tee off ceremony that was presented by the co-ordinator Jackson Wan, who is the Executive Committee of IGDS Alumni Association 2005.

The Technical Visit of KMB Kowloon Bay Depot was held successfully on 16 April 2005 and there were 27 graduates and students, who participated in the visit. The event included the maintenance of bus, i.e. petroleum replenishment, bus body washing, ideas on revenue collection through Contactless Smart Card System, daily examination, breakdown repair works etc.
All graduates and students enjoyed in the morning of visit because a KMB staff sincerely presented a detailed workflow of bus daily maintenance and briefed us the bus fleet operations in Kowloon East Region. In addition, every graduate and student showed their high enthusiasm and great interest in asking plenty of technical issues, e.g. innovated air conditioning system, a future trend of new bus in KMB etc.
We would like to express our gratitude towards to the KMB staff, Mr. Ho Ying Kit (Senior Manager - Bus Maintenance), for his generous explanations of bus operations in the visit.
